Who is Tatitlek/FPTS?
Tatitlek/FPTS is a division of Tatitlek Support Services, an Alaska Native Corporation, based in Anchorage, AK.
What kind of work is this?

Role Players work from 2 to 10 days or more at a time, sometimes several times each month.

All jobs are temporary part-time, on-call.
- Even if you are selected to work on a training exercise, there is no guarantee of later work.
What will it be like?

You will be exposed to extreme heat, cold, wind and rain, as well as local wildlife and insects like snakes, turtles, coyotes, spiders, bees, wasps and mosquitoes.
- You will work long hours.
- You will live in austere conditions, sometimes without access to showers for 4-5 days at a time.
- While working, you must wear clothing and costumes provided by Tatitlek/FPTS.
- You will be assigned a role and must stay in role while working. Roles include political or religious leaders; local townspeople; members of the media, army, police force, or militia; insurgents; and sick or wounded civilians.
What does Tatitlek/FPTS provide?

Limited transportation to the jobsite - usually buses from San Diego, Phoenix and San Francisco
- All of your meals while you are working
- Free secure parking if you choose to drive to the job site
- Sleeping quarters, cots, and latrines
- Medical personnel (paramedics and EMTs)
- Safety briefings and training
What does Tatitlek/FPTS NOT provide?

Transportation costs other than routine bus services - we do not reimburse air fare or mileage
What should I bring with me?

Cold weather sleeping bag
- One (1) duffel bag - no more
- Personal toiletries (soap, shampoo, shaving supplies)
- Long-sleeved shirts and pants or long dress
- Sturdy shoes like hiking boots
- Any medication you require
- Personal items (books etc.)
What is not allowed?
-
Alcohol, illegal drugs, drug consumption equipment
- Firearms
- Sharp weapons
- Speech, behavior or action that produces an environment of intolerance
- Discussion of political opinions
- The expression of any opinion or belief concerning religion, creed, political affiliation, origin, gender, age, appearance, or sexual orientation, whether in writing, electronic form, verbally, through art, or gesture

NOTE: Cell phones are not allowed in training areas.
If you bring a cell phone with you, Tatitlek/FPTS will safeguard
it for you and return it when the training is done.
How would my family reach me while I am working?

Tatitlek/FPTS will provide you with a number to call to get a message to you in an emergency.
How do I sign up?

Fill out the on-line application.

You will need to provide your driver's license information, Social Security Number, Alien Registration Number (if applicable), current address, and other information about yourself.

You will be asked to print a Background Authorization form, fill it out, sign it and send it to us.

If you are selected to work, you will be required to fill out an employment packet, including a W-4, I-9, and other documents.
